In the first year of league play, cities will be selected by a bid process. Each city must have a Squash Facility willing to act as a Hosting Club.

The Hosting Club will fill out an extensive bid proposal, with information about the facility, membership and event history, as well as applicable metro-area demographics.

The selection will be determined by the following criteria contained within the club’s own bid proposal and a public online voting and volunteering system:

 1. Public interest in acquiring a local team
2. Public interest in volunteering should the club be awarded a team
3. Clubs own squash demographics and level of participation in squash programs
4. Venue capacity, location, and proximity to other facilities (airports, hotels, shopping)
5. Venue area for seating, signage, sponsor booths, concessions, etc.
6. Potential media outlets in the area
7. National and local sponsorship and financial consideration
8. Success of past-hosted events, not necessarily in just the sport of squash
9. The potential return on investment for all involved; the USL, the Hosting Club, Club Squash Pro, Team Players, and Sponsors.
Bid deadline is 30 April 2007. The USL reserves the right to select cities and clubs before this date and will announce these selections as they occur. It is best for all interested clubs to complete and submit a bid proposal as soon as possible.
